The SJI Philanthropic Fund has launched a fundraising campaign, Today's Scholars - Tomorrow's Leaders (the "Fundraising Campaign"), commensurate with our aims and objectives.
A gift to the SJI Philanthropic Fund supports the Josephian community as a whole.
Benefactors like you make it possible for the SJI Philanthropic Fund to empower all deserving students to become people of integrity and people for others. Your support, and the support of our other benefactors, will enable us to serve not only your children but other children who can benefit from a Lasallian education for generations to come.
Together, we can build a lasting and significant legacy as we nurture men and women for others, who enter our Lasallian schools to learn and leave proudly thereafter to serve.
Please help us ensure that ability and talent, not financial background, determines access to world-class education. Your support for the Lasallian schools and all it hopes to achieve is greatly appreciated.
Since its establishment in 2010, the SJI Philanthropic Fund has supported the Lasallian schools in Singapore.
To mark the 165th anniversary of St Joseph' Institution' founding in 1852, the SJI Philanthropic Fund had in 2017 established the SJI Philanthropic Fund - Christ' College Cambridge Scholarship Programme to award up to two scholarships to students from SJI and SJI International to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at Christ' College Cambridge. Christ' College was founded in 1437 and is one of the most distinctive amongst the Cambridge Colleges.
By providing partial and un-bonded financial support, the SJI Philanthropic Fund Scholarship Programme assists our outstanding graduates who have the drive and passion to become leaders of tomorrow.
We are now establishing the SJI Philanthropic Fund – St Edmunds' College Cambridge Scholarship Programme in 2022 to mark the 170th anniversary of St Joseph's Institution's founding in 1852.
St Edmund’s College was founded in 1896 and uniquely among Cambridge colleges, has Roman Catholic roots. St Edmund’s College is noted for several eminent scholars and has many famous alumni including the Big Bang theorist Georges Lemaître and Baron St John of Fawsley, former Leader of the House of Commons. Just like the Christ’s College Scholarships, we expect to award up to two St. Edmund’s Scholarships per year.
Both these Cambridge partnership programmes fall under the umbrella of our Scholarship Programme.
Each scholarship would require funding of up to S$60,000 for the duration of its course and we expect to award up to four new scholarships each year. We require funding and financial support as we are a charitable institution and we do not receive any direct financial support from the government or the Lasallian schools.
Donations may be made at “Diamond”, “Platinum”, “Gold”, “Silver”, “Bronze” and “Green” donor levels, with “Diamond” being the highest. Each donor level includes unique benefits available to the donors after the donation has been made.
We are pleased to announce that the scholarships may be named after a donor if a donor commits to funding a scholarship for S$100,000.
The SJI Philanthropic Fund Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is an exciting project and will play an important role in enhancing the brand and standing of the Lasallian Schools and we look to you for your support for our projects.
The Fundraising Campaign is expected to be a multi‐year fundraising effort and the SJI Philanthropic Fund seeks to raise S$2,000,000 over 2022 and 2023 and the purpose of the fund raising is to support our operating expenses as well as promote SJI Philanthropic Fund's objects under its Constitution, including: to support SJI, SJI International and other Lasallian schools in Singapore; to carry out programmes and activities in support of the Lasallian mission of educating and developing the young into men and women of integrity and men and women for others; and to support students, teachers, volunteers and supporters to undertake educational, outreach and service projects.
More specifically, funds received through the Fundraising Campaign will also include supporting the following initiatives:
The SJI Philanthropic Fund requires funding and financial support as it is a charitable institution and does not receive any financial support from the government or the Lasallian schools.

Each donor level includes unique benefits available to the donors after the gift has been made.
